🏁 What’s happening?
- We’re recruiting 25–30 athletes from across the U.S.
- From this group, we will select 12 athletes to represent Team USA at the European Championships and complete INWA certification
- The team will receive official INWA training and certification
- All team members will compete in 3 events:
5 km • 10 or 21 km • 4×5 km relay - Although it is called the European Championships, the event is open to international athletes from all countries.
- These athletes will not only compete — they will be trained to become certified INWA instructors, judges, and leaders who will develop Nordic Walking clubs across the United States.
- Travel, training, gear, and entry fees will be covered by our sponsors and official partners in collaboration with NWANA
✅ Who can apply?
- Any motivated athlete, walker, or outdoor enthusiast
- No professional experience required, but commitment is essential
- Must be available in August for training and Sept 7–15 for travel
- Basic English and valid passport required

Can I apply if I’ve never done Nordic Walking before?
Yes — If you’re physically active, motivated, and ready to learn, you’re welcome to apply.
What will it cost to participate if selected?
Travel, accommodation, gear, and entry fees will be covered by our sponsors and official partners together with NWANA.
Selected athletes are only responsible for their passport and personal expenses.
Do I need a passport?
Yes — valid through at least October 2025. If you don’t have one yet, start the process.
Where will training happen in the U.S.?
In August 2025. Locations depend on athlete geography (likely East Coast).
